Hello world!

My name is Amanda Vacca. I am a freshman at the Univeristy of Cincinnati. I am in the College of Allied Health Sciences and I will be majoring in physical therapy. There are still a lot of pieces I am trying to fit together about myself and my future. I can say that I have a deep passion for helping people and an extreme desire to see all that this world has to offer.

Service has been fostered within me since I can remember. My parents always made sure that my siblings and I were growing as people through our actions and words. Throughout high school I participated in the mandatory 50 hours of community service need to graduate, but for me, I can trace community service back to some of my earliest memories. It became a part of me and stirred inside of me a deep empathy for people from all walks of life. I think that is a large reason I have found myself heading toward a career in the health industry.

My love of travel was also fostered from a very young age. Family vacations throughout the United States make up some of my most treasured memories. I want to experience all that this life has to offer me. We were not meant to stay in one place our whole lives, and that is something I genuinely believe. There is a great big world out there ready to be explored and I intend to do just that.

I have no idea what sorts of adventures the future holds for me but I am trusting God to lead me in the right direction. Right now, it's all about taking life one day at a time and living in the moment. We are promised life on a day to day basis and I can only to make the very most out of each and every breath I take.
